Dr. Prafulla B. Bafna is currently associated with Symbiosis for the last 15 years as an assistant professor. She was connected with C-DAC, University of Pune as a faculty for the period 2005 to 2006.
She received her Ph. D in the year 2019 in “Text Analytics” a branch of data science after receiving M. Phil in 2009. Her research interest areas are Natural language processing, data analytics, data mining, etc. She is acting as a Ph. D supervisor for Symbiosis International deemed university, she has
published around 35 research papers in Scopus, and Web of Science indexed journals and conferences. She is an editor and reviewer for Scopus-indexed journals, such as knowledge-based systems, etc. She has got the best paper award at international conferences. She has served as a session chair at the
