SICSR Students Secure 2nd Prize at International Youth & Sustainability Festival 2026

Mr. Soilianmang Thangsing and Mr. Yog Redkar, students of the BCA Batch 2024–2028 a student of the Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR), brought laurels to the institute by securing Second Prize at the International Youth & Sustainability Festival (IYSF) 2026.

The duo was recognized for presenting their innovative sustainability-focused idea, “Marine Plastic Recycled into Fabric Production,” a product concept aimed at transforming marine plastic waste into usable fabric, thereby contributing to environmental conservation and sustainable development.

IYSF 2026 served as a prestigious platform for students and research scholars from across the country to showcase sustainability-driven research and innovations. The fourth edition of the festival was organized as a joint initiative of six leading universities in Pune and was held on 20–21 February 2026 at the Symbiosis Viman Nagar Campus, Pune.

Their achievement reflects SICSR’s commitment to fostering innovation, social responsibility, and sustainable solutions to real-world challenges.
