The IIC SDG Hackathon was a two-day innovation-driven event organized under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) to promote innovation, design thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving among students. The hackathon focused on developing solutions aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda.
The event began with an inaugural session that introduced participants to the SDG framework and the objectives of the hackathon. Teams then worked on identifying real-world challenges related to sustainable development and proposed innovative solutions through a structured idea and solution submission process. Shortlisted teams advanced to the final presentation and evaluation round, where they presented their ideas before a panel of faculty evaluators.
The hackathon provided students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge to societal and environmental challenges while enhancing their creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. The event concluded with the announcement of winners, a vote of thanks, and the distribution of e-certificates to all participants, marking the successful completion of the program.
