The Chess Tournament was organized by the Sports Council of SICSR as part of the SICSR Rubyon Sports Fest and was held on 28th February 2026 in Room 705, SICSR Campus. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 23 students from various academic programs across the institute.
The tournament aimed to promote strategic thinking, concentration, and healthy competition among students. Participants displayed excellent analytical skills and sportsmanship throughout the competition. Moreover, matches were conducted fairly and in accordance with the tournament rules.
The event concluded with Vinit Shah (Msc. CA), Bhanu Rathore(BBA-IT), and Rishabh Kumar Singh (BCA) securing the top three positions respectively in the Male category, while Paridhi Karmwar(BBA-IT) , Ann Sandra(BCA), and Aishwarya Gilhotra(BCA) secured the top three positions respectively in the Female category.
The tournament was conducted smoothly without any misunderstandings, disputes, or feuds among participants. Overall, the event was a success and contributed positively to the spirit of the Rubyon Sports Fest.
