The IEEE Student Branch – Pravidhi of Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) organized the IEEE Launchpad – Weekend Lecture Series to encourage students to explore the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The session was delivered by Mr. Kushan Chatterjee from CogitX AI / ColabRTE and witnessed participation from over 65 students, reflecting strong enthusiasm for industry-oriented learning.

The event comprised two focused and engaging sessions. The first session, “How to Start an AI Startup as a Student,” emphasized entrepreneurial thinking through a problem-first approach. Students were guided on identifying real-world problems, validating ideas, managing academic commitments, and leveraging AI tools to build scalable solutions.

The second session, “Building Conversational AI Agents,” explored the technical and strategic dimensions of chatbots and voice assistants. Drawing from industry experience, the speaker highlighted how conversational AI is transforming domains such as customer service, education, and healthcare.

The lecture series concluded with an interactive discussion and Q&A session, marked by active participation and positive feedback. Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), the initiative significantly contributed to enhancing students’ technical expertise, entrepreneurial mindset, and employability skills.
