The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) organized the Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 as part of the 2025–26 IIC Calendar Activity. The event provided an engaging platform for students to convert innovative ideas into impactful solutions addressing real-world challenges.
The 24-hour hackathon witnessed the participation of 58 students forming 10 teams, who worked intensively on problem statements selected from the official SIH portal. The blended-mode format encouraged critical thinking, collaboration, and practical application of technical skills within a time-bound framework.
The final round was evaluated by a distinguished jury comprising Dr. Parag Kaveri, Dr. Rajashree Jain, Dr. Sandeep Gaikwad, Dr. Abhinav Pathak, and Mr. Chaitanya Kulkarni. Based on creativity, feasibility, impact, and execution, Team “Hackstreet Boys” emerged as the shortlisted team, demonstrating readiness for national-level competition.
The IIC initiative also emphasized employability, entrepreneurial thinking, IPR awareness, professional ethics, sustainability, and gender inclusivity, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, 5, and 9.
