Event Details:

On the occasion of World Environment Day, celebrated globally on June 5th, the Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) proudly organized a compelling lecture series titled “पर्यावरण दिनानिमित्त व्याख्यानमाला”. This initiative aimed to raise awareness, inspire thoughtful reflection, and promote active dialogue on the pressing need for environmental sustainability and conservation.

Organized by the Student Council, the event brought together faculty members and students for an insightful offline gathering held in Room-203. The atmosphere reflected a strong collective commitment to ecological awareness and environmental responsibility. Faculty members were invited to speak in any language of their choice, making the event inclusive and accessible to all.

The session commenced with a warm welcome by student hosts Ark Barua and Abhayanandan Panikar, who are both integral members of the Student Council. They provided a brief yet impactful introduction to the significance of World Environment Day, highlighting this year’s theme and underlining the vital role educational institutions play in championing environmental advocacy.

The highlight of the event was a series of thought-provoking lectures delivered by esteemed faculty members. Covering topics such as sustainable living, climate change, biodiversity, and practical everyday actions for environmental preservation, the speakers offered both academic insights and personal perspectives. These talks sparked meaningful discussions and deep reflections among the audience.

The in-person format of the event fostered genuine engagement and encouraged open dialogue, strengthening the sense of community and shared environmental responsibility. Faculty contributions, grounded in their expertise and real-life experiences, made the sessions especially engaging and relatable.

The event concluded with a unified commitment to environmental stewardship. Attendees pledged to contribute both individually and collectively towards a more sustainable and conscious future. SICSR’s lecture series not only honored the spirit of World Environment Day but also served as a powerful platform for education, inspiration, and actionable change
