Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) hosted a dynamic and insightful workshop on "Multi-Cloud Management: AI-Enabled FinOps and Best Practices" conducted by Mr. Prashant Wali from CloudFx on March 11, 2025. The session offered students a comprehensive understanding of multi-cloud models, including the scalability and cost-effectiveness of public cloud solutions, the security and control offered by private clouds, and the flexibility of hybrid cloud environments that blend on-premise and cloud services.
The workshop also addressed key challenges in managing multi-cloud infrastructures, such as integration complexity, financial oversight, and maintaining governance and security. A major focus was on FinOps, financial operations for the cloud, highlighting how organizations can achieve a 20–45% reduction in cloud costs and a 40% improvement in operational efficiency through AI-driven financial management. The importance of adhering to governance frameworks to ensure full compliance with industry standards was also emphasized.
Mr. Wali demonstrated how CloudFx leverages AI to enable real-time cost analytics, automate resource allocation, and implement adaptive multi-cloud strategies. The session underscored the evolving role of CIOs as service aggregators, orchestrating complex IT infrastructures across diverse cloud platforms. Overall, the workshop equipped students with vital insights into the future of cloud computing and financial operations management, preparing them for emerging roles in the digital enterprise landscape.
