Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) was pleased to host Mr. Margik Baxi from AITRON for an engaging workshop on "AI Driving Digital Transformation" held on March 6, 2025. The session provided students with valuable insights into the evolution of Artificial Intelligence, tracing its journey from Traditional AI to the more advanced Generative and Agentic AI. Mr. Baxi also addressed key challenges in AI adoption, including issues related to reliability, data security, and regulatory compliance.
The workshop highlighted practical applications of AI across various industries. In transportation, technologies like Tesla’s self-driving systems and Uber’s dynamic pricing model were discussed. In manufacturing and supply chains, the focus was on AI-driven automation and process optimization. The healthcare segment explored the role of predictive analytics in early disease detection, while the retail sector showcased AI-powered customer engagement tools used by companies like Sephora, Starbucks, and Zomato’s Nugget bot.
Looking toward the future, the workshop emphasized the potential of AI in predictive maintenance and its integration in healthcare and workplace environments for sustainable growth. A hands-on session allowed participants to explore AI tools such as Grok, Crew.ai, and Napkin, giving them practical exposure to real-world AI applications.
