SICSR has established a strong reputation for internationalization through collaborations with renowned universities worldwide, including Deakin University and Macquarie University in Australia; Ritsumeikan University in Japan; Leeds Beckett University in the UK; Dauphine University in France; Lingnan University in Hong Kong; and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, among other European institutions.
As part of its ongoing efforts toward internationalization, SICSR - Pune hosted the COIL 2024 Virtual Exchange Program from November 4 to December 9, 2024. Organized in collaboration with institutions such as Artevelde University, ESIEE Paris, Hochschule München, Oakland Community College, UniBH, and SICSR, the program promoted cultural exchange among participants from France, the USA, Belgium, India, Brazil, and Germany.
SICSR students participated in the prestigious GEM Trailblazer Summer School Program hosted by Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and Lingnan University, Hong Kong, in collaboration with Symbiosis International (Deemed University). The program, held from June 26 to July 27, 2024, offered an enriching platform for students to engage in cross-cultural learning and develop global perspectives.
In the academic year 2023-24, SICSR students participated in semester exchange programs at Macquarie University, Australia, and Leeds Beckett University, UK, through collaboration with Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
These programs offered students the chance to experience world-class education, interact with international peers, and immerse themselves in diverse cultural and academic settings. By engaging in advanced coursework and global collaborations, participants enhanced their knowledge and built networks spanning continents.

Anushka Sharma, a BBA-IT student from the 2023-27 batch, participated in the Symbiosis Statistical Institute Model United Nations (SSI MUN) 2024 held on September 27-28. Competing in the UNHRC Committee, she represented the Palestine portfolio on the agenda of the Israel-Palestine War. The MUN tested participants' skills in public speaking, debate, and diplomacy. Anushka’s insightful arguments and strong articulation earned her a Verbal Mention for commendable performance.
Ashwini S, a BBA-IT student from the 2023-27 batch, successfully led a 43-member delegation at the Symbiosis Statistical Institute Model United Nations (SSIMUN) 2024, held on September 27-28. Taking on a leadership role, she actively guided and mentored the delegation, contributing to their outstanding performance across various committees.
Hanaika Ramchandani, a BCA student from the 2024-28 batch, showcased exceptional leadership at Diplomat MUN-I by serving as the Chair of the SPECPOL Committee. She presided over discussions on the agenda "Managing Civil Unrest in Lebanon and Myanmar," demonstrating her expertise in diplomacy, critical analysis, and global affairs.

Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) delivered an outstanding performance in the third-place match of the inter-Symbiosis tournament, securing a well-earned victory against Symbiosis School of Sports Sciences (SSSS) with a 3-1 win.
Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) made a remarkable mark at the first-ever Inter-Institute Dance Sport Championship, securing an impressive 2nd place. Organized by the Department of Sports, Recreation, and Wellness (DSRW) in collaboration with the Symbiosis School of Biological Sciences (SSBS), the event took place on August 30, 2024, at the SIMS Khadki Campus Auditorium, Pune. With 12 teams and over 140 talented dancers competing, the championship showcased diverse dance styles, from classical to contemporary.
-The Inter-Institute Swimming Championship, hosted by the Department of Sports, Recreation, and Wellness (DSRW) in partnership with Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR), took place on August 21-22, 2024, at the Khadki Campus. The event saw the participation of 100 athletes from 22 Symbiosis institutes, showcasing their remarkable skill and sportsmanship. SICSR swimmers had an impressive outing, with Loojah Tuladhar claiming 1st place in the 50m Breaststroke and securing 2nd place in both the 100m Breaststroke and 50m Butterfly events.
SICSR Pune made a stellar mark at the BITS Open Sports Meet (BOSM) 2024, emerging as the top-performing institute in the swimming competition. First-year students Nitya Khinvasara and Loojah Tuladhar dominated the pool, each securing multiple gold medals in their respective events. Nitya won gold in the 50m Butterfly, 50m Backstroke, 50m Freestyle, and 100m Freestyle, while Loojah clinched gold in the 50m Breaststroke, 100m Breaststroke, and 50m Butterfly.
SICSR athletes delivered impressive performances at the Inter-Institute Taekwondo Championship, hosted by the Department of Sports, Recreation, and Wellness (DSRW) in collaboration with Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW) on September 5, 2024. The event, held at the Lavale Hilltop Campus, saw participation from 12 teams and 42 athletes across men’s and women’s categories. Shivam Bandgar clinched 1st place in the men's under-58 kg category, while Sampada Bharara topped the women’s under-73 kg category.

HURUKURO means conversation, and this series is brought to students by Symbiosis to get them to connect and converse with speakers from all over the world. These speakers share knowledge about their industry and real-world experiences. HURUKURO is an excellent way to provide students with exposure to experienced industry experts.
