The Department of Sports, Recreation & Wellness (DSRW), in collaboration with Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (SIMC), successfully hosted the Inter-Institute Table Tennis Tournament from August 21 to 23, 2024, at the Symbiosis Hilltop Campus in Lavale. This highly competitive event saw an impressive turnout, with 140 men and 120 women from various institutes competing, including 28 men’s teams and 24 women’s teams.
Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) put up a remarkable performance in the tournament’s third place match, facing Symbiosis School of Sports Sciences (SSSS) in a series of well-fought matches. SICSR emerged victorious with a 3-1 win. Aryann secured two crucial wins for SICSR, defeating Arya with scores of 11-9, 11-6, and later outplaying Sri Charan in a close match (8-11, 11-7, 11-4). Tanmay contributed with a win against Nilesh (11-5, 11-9), sealing SICSR’s triumph.
The tournament concluded with an exciting prize distribution and closing ceremony, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and competition.
