Event Details:  

Pravidhi-SICSR IEEE Pune Student Branch, in collaboration with IEEE Educational Activities, IEEE Pune Section, IEEE Communication Society, Symbiosis Institute of Technology, and G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, organized an IOT Workshop and its Applications on September 22, 2022, to September 23, 2022. She provided real-world examples of IOT in intelligent appliances, healthcare education, partnership solutions, information security, the Office of Budget and Finance, wearable technology, and other areas. The proceedings began on the second day with Dr. Kantipudi MVV Prasad. He demonstrated how IOT could be used to return the same amount in a failed UPI transaction. She explained the advantages of becoming a member of IEEE. IEEE Pune has 30 separate section chapters. About different chapters under IEEE, one of the main focused groups that come to focus under the Pune Section is the decreasing ratio of girls studying; thus, Pune Section helps those underprivileged girls to learn with free health checkups run by SIU. Dr. Rajashree Jain and Dr. Kantipudi MVV Prasad led a workshop on IOT with Arduino and Raspberry Pi, explaining the benefits and functionalities of these devices.

Objectives:

  • To provide students with an understanding of the real-world applications of the Internet of Things (IOT) technology.
  • To raise awareness about the advantages of becoming a member of IEEE and highlight the different chapters under IEEE, with a focus on the decreasing ratio of girls studying and how Pune Section helps those underprivileged girls.
  • To lead a hands-on workshop on IOT with Arduino and Raspberry Pi and explain the benefits and functionalities of these devices.
  • To provide a platform for students to interact with experts and learn from their experiences and insights.
