Event Details:
On 27th December 2023, Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, Pune conducted a community engagement program—a clean-up drive activity to Chakan Fort. This initiative was organized by ExploreiT, the National Coordinator for Youth at the Climate Reality Project-India, in collaboration with SICSR a part of Institute Social Responsibility.
The trekking cum clean drive activity was organized for 1st year PG students only. In the morning at 7:30 a.m. all students and faculty members gathered at the SICSR parking area. After breakfast everyone boarded the bus at 8:00 a.m. After reaching at CHAKAN FORT all the students are divided into groups having 10 members each, and started garbage cleaning activity wearing gloves as directed by Ms Hema Gaikwad (Student Council Faculty in Charge). Director Prof. Dr. J. R. Saini and Dr. Sachin Naik was also present at this activity event with the students. After the cleaning drive got over everybody returned with the college bus at 2.00 p.m. Tiffin was there for faculties and students at college canteen. Everyone enjoyed a lot with this trekking event and returned to their home with smiling faces.
