Measuring Pedagogical Impact-Shape Parameters and Classification in Education Research

Event Date : 28th May 2024
Time : 03:30 PM
Venue : Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, ROOM-207
Speaker: Dr. Shilpa Mujumdar, Assistant professor SICSR

Dr. Shilpa Mujumdar, delivered a session on the topic “Measuring Effectiveness of Pedagogy Using Shape Parameters and Classification”. The effect of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on teaching Statistics and Operations Research (OR) to techno-management students is studied using Shape parameters and classification. Pattern analysis of shape parameters evidences the impact of PBL, and the results are established through the decision tree and test of proportions. The study utilizes an innovative analytical approach of combining shape parameters with classification.
