SICSR announces Dr. Amol Vibhute as “Researcher of the Quarter”

Dr. Amol Vibhute, Assistant Professor at SICSR, has been declared as the Researcher of the Quarter (RotQ) at SICSR for the period of July 2022 to September 2022 by Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR).

Dr. Amol D. Vibhute received his Ph.D. in Computer Science under Geospatial Technology, M. Phil and M. Sc. in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, MH-India. Currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR), Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, Maharashtra, India. He has more than 8+ years of academic experience in research, innovation, and teaching at the UG/PG level. His five (05) Indian patents are under granting stage, one (01) International patent has been granted, and he authored/co-authored over 65+ referred journals, book chapters, and conference papers in reputed international journals and conferences indexed by Scopus/SCIE/UGC. The current publication citations of his research are more than 515, 193, and 70, with an h-index of 13, 7, and 4 as per Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science, respectively.

His specialization is Hyperspectral-Multispectral Remote Sensing, GIS, and Remote Sensing of Soil, crops, urban areas, etc. His research interests include Geospatial Technology, Digital Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Big Data Analysis, the Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. He is an active reviewer of the Remote Sensing (MDPI), Elsevier (Remote Sensing of Environment, Journal of Building Engineering (JOBE), Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, Ocean and Coastal Management, Vibrational Spectroscopy, The Egyptian Journal of Remote Sensing and Space Sciences), Wiley Online (Remote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation) and IEEE Access and Springer journals indexed by SCI, SCIE, and Scopus (WoS).

He received BSR Fellowship under “SAP” from the University of Grants Commission, New Delhi, in August 2013. He has been awarded the best paper and session chair at the international conference and second prize in the concept paper competition. He has delivered lectures as a resource person in state-level seminars and training programs.

He has participated in and presented his research contributions to more than 21 National/International conferences. He has attended the 13 Faculty Development Programmes (FDT) and taken more than 35 professional training workshops from IEEE, IIRS (Dehradun), NRSC- ISRO (Hyderabad), SAC (Ahmedabad), IETE, Springer Nature, etc. Besides, he has been an organizing committee member in national workshops and national/international conferences.
