Event Description:
The Cultural Club of SICSR conducted an online event to celebrate World Environment Day which served as a reminder and the first step towards Revitalizing our Environment. The event started with a warm welcome and brief information about World Environment Day by Mr. Tushar Laad. Followed by a documentary that reminded us of the importance of our environment and discussed steps that we could take to Replenish nature.
Next, we had our Guest Speaker Mrs. Urja Priyadarshini Chaudhary who is a conscientious humanities student, graduated with a degree of BA in English Honors from Christ University Bangalore. Not only has she participated in social events such as Waste management drives, but also wrote multiple research papers on varied topics like "The politics of makeup ", etc. She has worked with the Society of Rehabilitation Services and Jadavpur University Press which shows her experience in the world of sustainable development, ecological discourses, and Journalism.
She told us about the importance of our environment and how each one of us can take a few steps towards conserving our environment.
