A two-day workshop on Cyber Security was organized by IEEE SICSR Student Branch on 27ᵗʰ February 2021 from 4 pm to 6 pm and on 28ᵗʰ February 2021 from 11 am to 1 pm. The anchors for the event, Ms. Diya Suthiv, and Ms. Shritama Sengupta started the workshop with a welcome ceremony. A welcome note was presented by Dr. Rajashree Jain. The guest speaker, Mr. B. Vinod Babu, Cybersecurity Speaker, and Trainer, wonderfully delivered his session on Cyber Security. He commenced his session by introducing the concept of hacking and the various types of hackers. Then he touched upon the topic such as why hacking is a threat and how we can deal with it. Afterward, he taught about ethical hacking and its five phases (i.e., Reconnaissance, Scanning, Gaining Access, Maintaining Access, and Clearing Tracks). The next day of the session included live demos of the phases. After the session was over, the speaker had a Question-and-Answer session with the participants, where the participants diligently asked their doubts and got them cleared.
